I love cat stories. This is not a book about cats, it is not a story of a cat despite the title. It is the story of Lydia, the owner of Jappy and two other cats. Can't say I like Lydia or how she treats her cat. Although Jappy is very understanding and forgiving about being left for months and years in other peoples care. And some of those care-givers were very uncaring!Possibly the book is autobiographical and the author is attempting to excuse her inexcusable behaviour towards her cats.
I felt sorry for Jappy and his companions, I could not forgive Lydia.
